Description
What happens when food becomes an artistic material? How can taste become colour, shape, or image? Why can food carry memory and meaning?
TASTE, TRANSFORM, LOOP is a food design and edible art workshop with visual artist Michalina Kostecka, where cooking becomes a space for experimentation and transformation.
Drawing on traditional recipes, ancient grains, natural fermentation, and everyday ingredients, participants will explore how food can be reshaped, passed on, and given new meanings. No previous artistic or culinary experience is required.
Workshop highlights
- Edible paints from seeds, vegetables, herbs, and other ingredients.
- Tradition in a Loop. Creating pretzels, biscuits, buns and other forms inspired by the symbol of infinity. Working with traditional recipes and ancient grains such as einkorn and emmer.
- Fermentation as a chain of transmission. Each participant will add something of their own, an ingredient, an idea, or an interpretation, before passing it further.
- A collective food art installation combining colour, texture, flavour, form, and symbolism.
